Aly Raisman

Alexandra Rose Raisman was born on May 25, 1994. She is a retired American artist gymnast. She was the captain of the 2012 "Fierce Five" and 2016 "Final Five" U.S. women's Olympic gymnastics teams. Both won their respective teams competitions.At the 2012 Olympics in London she won gold medals in floor and team events, and also the bronze medal for the balance beam, which made her the most accomplished American gymnast at the Games. She received a gold medal in team competitions during the 2016 Olympics. Gabby Douglas as her teammate also received gold. Raisman was also awarded silver medals in the individual all-around as well as the floor exercise. She is the third-highest accomplished American gymnast in Olympic history behind Shannon Miller and Simone Biles who have won six Olympic medals.Raisman was also a member of the gold-winning American teams at the 2011 and 2015 World Championships, and the bronze medalist in the world championships for floor exercise in 2011. She was also two times a national champion in floor exercise (2012 and 2015) and was the reigning champion on the balance beam in the year 2012. She is also a five-time medalist at the national all-around championships (silver bronze, silver, 2011, 2012 and in 2015). She was inducted into International Jewish Sports Hall of Fame (2013).
