Kristen Anne Bell is an American singer and actress born in the year 1980. Bell is a Michigan native, born and raised by her parents, Lorelei Frygier (a nurse) and Tom Bell (a TV news director). The mother of Kristen is Polish as is her father, who is German, English Irish and Scottish. Kristen's talents for performing were discovered at a very young age. She was just 12 when she went to her first audition. She was successful and got an appearance in Raggedy Ann and Andy. Bell had an agent appointed by her mother at the age of 13 and was subsequently cast as a model in television and newspaper commercials. Also, she began private acting classes at that time. Bell was in Polish Wedding (2000) in 1998 as an uncredited actor. Bell was a student at Shrine Catholic High School where she participated in the music and drama club. She was cast as Dorothy in the school production that was The Wizard of Oz. Bell was a student at the Tisch School of the Arts in New York City, where she studied Musical Theatre in New York City. Bell left the university in 2001, and began taking on the role of Becky of Tom Sawyer. In 2001, she was the first to make her credit debut as Becky in Pootie Tang. But the film cut her character from the film, and she was not even in the credits. Bell played featured in the Broadway revival of The Crucible starring Liam Neeson as well as Angela Bettis.
